Goods Drop-Off Days

The Reusable Goods Drop-Off day is a FREE drive-thru event for residents of Whitehorse to drop off their larger reusable household items. Residents are instructed to stay in their cars while the SCRgroup unloads their preloved items. All items are sent for reuse to local charities or overseas communities or recycled.

The Reusable Goods Drop-Off Day will be held on Saturday 8 May 2021 from 8am to 1pm

Please note due to COVID we have made slight changes to the way we run our Reusable Goods Drop-Off Day. We now require online registration to collect your contact information for contact tracing and to provide updates should changing covid restrictions impact the event.

What items are accepted at the Reusable Goods Drop-Off day?

  • Clothes, Shoes, Handbags in a clean and reusable condition.
  • Small electrical items with a cord (laptop, iPad, mobile phone, radio, hair dryer, hair straightener/curler, kettle, toaster, blender, electrical tools, air fryer, electric blanket, sewing machines, blender, food processor, speakers, lamps, small microwaves)
  • Whitegoods (washing machines, dryer, dishwasher, oven)
  • Furniture (couches, tables, chairs, drawers, shelves)

What items aren’t accepted?

Chemicals, gas bottles, construction waste.

How many household items can I drop-off?

Residents can bring a maximum of 8 items per entry. Residents can return to the event as many times as they like. This is to ensure the queues move efficiently.
